Tire Components
The Bytewise Feature Tracker ("FTSL") is used by several leading tire manufacturers to accurately guide tire components onto an automated tire building machine. The Feature Tracker is configured to find and track a designated geometric feature, such as a center groove or a die line, and output the relative position of that feature to the user’s closed-loop control system. The control system is then able to insure that the tire component is delivered to the proper location on the tire building drum.
